To enhance access management and physical security within the educational environment, system integrator Megatech implemented a complete entrance access control solution for Dinh Thien Ly School in Ho Chi Minh City. The system was designed to effectively regulate pedestrian access while creating a safer, more modern, and professional campus environment for students, staff, and visitors.
REQUIREMENTS
Dinh Thien Ly School required an entrance control system capable of fulfilling key operational demands:
• High-Volume Pedestrian Traffic Management: Smoothly manage pedestrian flow across multiple campus entry points.
• Rapid & Stable Authentication: Deliver fast verification and reliable performance during high-peak drop-off and pick-up hours.
• Inclusive & Dedicated Passageways: Provide tailored lanes for general foot traffic, logistics transport, and individuals with disabilities.
• Centralized Safety & Security: Strengthen overall security protocols with real-time, centralized monitoring across all gate facilities.
SOLUTION
ZKTeco deployed an entrance control system across three strategic gate areas tailored to the school's operational workflow:
Gate Area 1 (Pedestrian Access): Configured with ZKTeco SBTL500 (master) and SBTL520 (expansion) Swing Barriers to manage primary student and staff traffic flow.
Gate Area 3 (Accessible & Pedestrian Access): Outfitted with three standard lanes and one wide-access lane specifically designed for wheelchair users and logistics transport.
RFID Authentication: All swing barriers feature integrated RFID card readers, enabling users to authenticate quickly and pass through safely.
Advanced Safety Features: Barriers are equipped with multi-point infrared sensors that provide obstacle detection, anti-pinch protection, tailgating alerts, and wrong-way passage detection to protect students.
