Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, completed in 2017, is a significant power generation facility located in the Quang Trach district of Quang Binh province in Vietnam. It is one of the key projects in Vietnam's power sector, aimed at meeting the country's increasing demand for electricity. The plant was developed by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) in collaboration with PetroVietnam, two major state-owned enterprises in Vietnam's energy sector. The power plant has a total installed capacity of 1,200 megawatts (MW) and consists of two units, with each unit having a capacity of 600 MW. It utilizes advanced supercritical technology, which helps improve the plant's overall efficiency and reduce its environmental impact.
The Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant plays a crucial role in supplying electricity to the central region of Vietnam, contributing to the region's economic growth and development. Requirements
There are two entrances to access the building, the main entrance and the carpark entrance. Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant expected to have an effective access control system to manage the access of the staffs through both gates. Here below are the major requirements:
A. Efficient Access Control Management for Large employees
As a critical power plant of the entire nation, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant requires absolute security to prevent any illegal access that may cause significant threat to the national interest. However, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant has a large number of staffs in the power plant located in the Quang Trach district of Quang Binh province in Vietnam, which is extremely diffcult in manual security monitoring. Verifying every accessing person manually including employees and visitors cause heavy cost of both time and human resources and would not prevent mistakes. A more precise and effective system securing the access to the buildings are necessary.
Solution
ZKTeco installed at the main entrance 6 units of TS200 Plus Tripod Turnstile Barriers to form 7 channels for the entrance of the power plant. Each of the channel is installed with an FR1500 Fingerprint Recognition Reader. All staff s are enrolled with their personal information and fingerprint data. To access the power plant, they are required to have the registered fingerprint scanned. Upon successful verification they are allowed to go in.
TS200 Plus Tripod Turnstiles offer quick throughput speed as 30 time per minute, with multi-channel ways, they are capable of ensuring smooth traffic of staffs even in the peak hour.
TS200 Plus Tripod Turnstiles are all factory-tested prior to shipping and delivery to the customers to ensure the quality of devices. The means cycle between failures (MCBF) of TS2000 Pro Tripod Turnstiles reaches 1 million times for ultimate reliability.
The turnstiles are designed for both indoor and semi-outdoor use. With SUS304 stainless steel for both cabinet, lid and barrier materials, it ensures high resistance to the environment and is able to work from -28°C~60°C and 5% to 80% humidity. The Readers are capable of working in a temperature range from -10°C to 50°C and humidity range of 20% to 80% for ultimate operability and stability.
SBTL8000 Series Swing Barrier is engineered to provide a high level of security and convenient access control. The barrier features a high-speed motor that provides fast and smooth operation, with a speed of throughput of up to 40 times per minute, as well as sensors that detect and prevent unauthorized entry and tailgating.
For identity Authentication, FR1500 Fingerprint Recognition Readers offer fast yet accurate fingerprint recognition terminal with ZKTeco’s advanced ZKFinger v10.0 algorithm. With SilkID Fingerprint Sensor and Live Finger Detection Feature, FR1500 enables quick yet precise recognition of fingerprints for reliable identity authentication to secure access control.
B. Centralized Access Control Management
Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant has a large size of employee group distributed over the premise in different departments, they expected a more convenient management of the access control
Solution
All the devices are connected to the inBio460 Pro Series Access Controllers and are centrally managed by ZKTeco’s ZKBio CVSecurity Access Control Management Software. Instead of monitoring and extracting data from each terminal one by one, the software enables real-time monitoring on the platform, and enables enrolling, viewing and editing of all staff s’ access rights and information. Also, the software is able to generate different kinds of access control reports which can be customized according to clients’ needs.
