Solution Details
ZKTeco has the honour to have had offered our client an integrated and comprehensive solution covering several aspects to enhance the efficiency of management and the security level of the workplaces of Primax’s manufacturing base in Thailand. Here below are the requirements and the details of the solution:
Access Control
Challenge & Requirement
• A manufacturing base with extra-large size and 4 main entrances.
• Various departments and workshops distributed widely in the base.
• Up to several hundreds of locations that require access control.
• Conventional ways with single and separated deployment of access control are unable to promptly handle security abnormality, unless with deployment of manual monitoring in eve ry access control points, which cause enormous deficiency in human resources.
• Unreasonable consumption of time and manual workforce in collecting data of access control devices one by one.
Solution Details
• ZKTeco deployed in each of the 4 main entrances a TS2000 Pro Tripod Turnstiles system to form a 3-channel entrance.
• Every staff is issued a personal staff card for card-swiping access.
• TS2000 Pro Tripod Turnstiles offer quick throughput speed as 30 time per minute, with multi-channel ways, they are capable of ensuring smooth traffic of staffs even in the peak hour.
• ZKTeco deployed 245 units of ProRF [MF] and KR100M Card Readers, staffs are granted access upon successful card-swiping verification with their staff cards.
• The personal information stored in the staff cards include authorized areas of access. Card swiping at the unauthorized access points will not be granted access.
• All access control devices are connected to the ZKBioSecurity Integrated Access Control Software Platform, thus all access control data are delivered to the platform. With instant notification, the security staffs are enabled to monitor all the access point and perform instant handling upon any security event like illegal access or device damage.
• As manufacturing process is involved, the access control system must be ready for any emergency like fire accidents.
• ZKTeco installed emergency break-glass buttons in the various locations of the manufacturing base. In case of emergency, upon breaking the glass, all the access control will be deactivated to ensure escape and protection of human lives.
Parking Management
Challenge & Requirement
• Apart from the access control management for pedestrian, there are a certain proportion of employees which commute to work by driving, and the majority is motorcycles.
• Manual management of the carpark entrance like identifying license numbers and granting access had brought severe burden to the security staffs.
• The incapability of manual operation towards the heavy vehicle flow had caused serious traffic jam during the peak hours.
Solution Details
• ZKTeco deployed at each of the 4 main entrances 2 units of BG1045 Boom Barriers as the vehicle entrance gates.
• All entrance gates are installed with ZKTeco Mini LPR (License Plate Recognition) System for automatic vehicle identification and access.
• All authorized vehicles are pre-registered with their license numbers and stored in the database.
• ZKTeco Mini LPR system is capable of recognizing license plates from a distance as far as 10 metres and in a moving speed as fast as 40 km/h within 100ms, which significantly enhances the efficiency of vehicle identification, as it does not requires vehicles to stop and present cards.
• Each BG1045 Boom Barrier is 4.5 metres in length. By combing 2 barriers, it forms an extra-wide entrance of 9 metres for quick and convenient access of large goods vehicles.
• ZKTeco also installed 8 units of BG1030 Boom Barriers for the access and exit of motorcycles.
• All BG1010 Boom Barriers are installed with ProRF [MF] Card Readers for card-swiping access of the motorcycles.
• More than the suitability of general installation in indoor offices with simple yet elegant design, the ProRF [MF] Card Readers are actually all waterproof and dustproof with IP67 levels, and are also able to normally operate in an extreme range of temperature from -20°C to 65°C, enabling installation and operation in direct outdoor environments.
• All the ProRF [MF] Card Readers are connected to the 5 units of InBio Pro 160 Access Controllers, and are centrally managed by the ZKBioSecurity Platform, without needing additional manual management.
Elevator Control
Challenge & Requirement
• Apart from offices and manufacturing workshops, elevators are another areas that are expected to have enhancement of security management level.
• Although access control devices have been deployed in the various locations of the manufacturing base, in case a person with card accesses the base, he or she is enabled to go all the floors via the elevators which are a security loophole.
Solution Details
• ZKTeco installed 17 units of EC10 Elevator Control Modules and 17 units of KR600M Card Readers in all the elevators of the manufacturing base.
• In order to activate the elevators, the staffs must swipe their cards, and they are only allowed to press the buttons of the levels they are authorized of access.
• All the above device are also connected to the ZKBioSecurity Platform, without needing additional manual management.
Time & Attendance
Challenge & Requirement
• The manufacturing originally has been installed with 30 units of ZKTeco IN05 Biometrics Time & Attendance Standalone Terminals for staffs’ attendance management.
• For the staffs’ convenience, more time & attendance devices are expected to be installed.
• However, with conventional installation method, it requires modifications of the premises which could affect the working staffs and cause heavy installation costs.
Solution Details
• ZKTeco installed additionally 11 units of IN05 Biometrics Time & Attendance Standalone Terminals with PoE functions.
• One critical advantage of PoE (Power over Ethernet) is that is allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices, which significantly simplifies the installation complexity and reduces the installation cost.
• ZKTeco IN05 is a standalone terminal which enables PoE for both power supply and data communication. With PoE wiring to the LAN port of the devices, the IN05 are all powered for operation. Thus, the wiring process for independent power supply is saved in the solution.
• IN05 also offers other multiple methods of connection, including Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth and USB transmission, which can be flexibly selected according to the suitability of different premises to avoid complex wiring or bad connection.
Pandemic Control
Challenge & Requirement
• The client expected a system for the pandemic control for the staffs’ security of health.
Solution Details
• ZKTeco installed 6 units of ZN-T10 Temperature Detection Cameras in the various major access & exit of the manufacturing base.
• ZN-T1 is a body temperature measurement network camera integrated with thermal imaging and temperature measurement, visible fusion, core image intelligent analysis etc. It synchronizes measurement automatically with response time within 30 milliseconds when people pass through the detection area.
